Joseph Moore for Commissioner

As a lifelong member of the Republican party, District 2 commission candidate Joseph Moore plans to put his knowledge and skills to work for the people of Forsyth County.

Moore moved to Forsyth County in 1998, and is no stranger to the Forsyth County politics.  He became politically active in the county almost immediately after moving here.  In 2002, Moore ran for School Board, and later served on the Forsyth County Republican Party executive committee.

Moore is also no stranger to the Forsyth County system of planning and development, and not afraid to personally roll up his sleeves and make a difference.  He recently accomplished an extremely rare feat when he built his own house, from the ground up, virtually by himself.   This hands on experience included such challenges as the building and permitting process, faux painting, and installation of a state of the art home theatre system.

When asked about the recent battles between the City and the county, Moore praised the current commission for reaching an agreement, and stated that as a commissioner, he will work hard to make sure the 2 governments work together.

Availabilty of water is primary concern to Moore, who believes the answer may lie in the hundreds of ponds and streams that exist here in the county.  "Lake Lanier should not be our only source of water"  Moore said.
